  • Key Concepts:
A key constraint is a type of data integrity rule used in SAP BusinessObjects Data Federator (EIM-DI-DF). It ensures that the data in a given column or set of columns is unique. This means that no two rows of data can have the same value in the specified columns.

    How to use it:
To use a key constraint, you must first define the columns that will be used to enforce the rule. This can be done by selecting the columns in the Data Federator Designer. Once the columns have been selected, you can then set the key constraint by right-clicking on the column and selecting “Set Key Constraint” from the menu.

    Tips & Tricks:
When setting a key constraint, it is important to make sure that all of the columns you are using are indexed. This will ensure that the key constraint is enforced quickly and efficiently. Additionally, it is important to make sure that all of the columns you are using are of the same data type.
