When creating a material master record, the CAS number can be entered into the “Hazardous Substance” field. This will allow the system to recognize the material as hazardous and will enable it to be tracked and managed accordingly. Tips & Tricks: When entering a CAS number into the “Hazardous Substance” field, make sure that it is entered correctly. If the CAS number is incorrect, the system may not recognize the material as hazardous and it may not be tracked or managed correctly.
