What is cumulative value in SAP EC-EIS - Executive Information System?

  • Description: A period-related key figure. Such key figures for example, revenue per division can be aggregated over several periods. In contrast, a time-based aggregation of non-cumulative values that are measured at a specific time for example, inventory level of a particular product has no significance.

    Cumulative value is a term used in the SAP Executive Information System (EC-EIS) to refer to the total value of a particular item or set of items over a period of time. This value is calculated by adding up the values of all the items in the set for each period and then summing them up. For example, if you have a set of sales figures for each month, the cumulative value would be the total sales for all months combined. 
    
    How to use it: 
    In order to calculate cumulative value in SAP EC-EIS, you need to first select the item or set of items that you want to calculate the cumulative value for. Then, you need to select the time period that you want to calculate the cumulative value over. Finally, you can use the “Cumulative Value” option in SAP EC-EIS to calculate the total value of all items in the set over the selected time period. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    When calculating cumulative values in SAP EC-EIS, it is important to remember that only items that are included in the set will be included in the calculation. Therefore, it is important to make sure that all relevant items are included in the set before calculating the cumulative value.
