What is value category in SAP CRM-FM - Funds Management?

  • Description: The amount of money available in a specific fund or fund usage category. &EXAMPLE& The "budget" value category for a fund may be 1,000 USD while the "Reserved" value category might be 300 USD.

    Value categories are used to define the characteristics of a fund. To create a value category, go to the Funds Management work center in SAP CRM and select “Create Value Category”. Enter the required information such as the purpose, type, and currency of the fund. Once you have entered all the necessary information, click “Save” to create the value category.
