What is lock in SAP CRM-BTX-SRQ - Service Request?

  • Component Name: Service Request

  • Description: To link one or more transactions to a single master transaction. The locked transactions are handled centrally by the master transaction, rather than individually. Transactions can also be unlocked from the master transaction, to be once again handled individually. &EXAMPLE& One or more incidents can be locked to a single problem, which then acts as a master service request. This allows for more efficient processing, since any updates made to the problem will be automatically applied to the locked incidents at the same time.

    To lock a service request, the user must first select the service request in the list view. Then, they can click on the “Lock” button in the toolbar. This will prevent any other users from editing or deleting the service request until it is unlocked.
