SAP Term: substep

Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
A substep is a component of a step in the SAP WebClient UI (CA-WUI). It is used to break down a step into smaller, more manageable parts. Substeps can be used to define the order in which tasks are performed, as well as to provide additional information about the task.

    How to use it:
Substeps can be used to create a more organized and efficient workflow. To create a substep, select the “Create Substep” option from the context menu of the step. This will open a dialog box where you can enter the name and description of the substep. Once you have entered this information, click “OK” to save the substep.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating substeps, it is important to make sure that they are clearly labeled and easy to understand. This will help ensure that users are able to quickly identify and complete each task. Additionally, it is important to keep in mind that substeps can be nested within other substeps, allowing for even more detailed organization of tasks.
