What is TCB interpolation in SAP CA-VE - SAP Visual Enterprise?

SAP Term: TCB interpolation

  • Component: CA-VE

  • Component Name: SAP Visual Enterprise

  • Description: An animation method that creates a smooth rate of change through and between keyframes. If the previous and next keys also use TCB interpolation, the shape of the curve near the previous or next keyframes also change. It requires at least three keyframes to be able to see the smooth change. A keyframe with linear interpolation in a series of segments of smoothly interpolated keyframes creates a sharp corner at a point in time where the linearly interpolated keyframe is located.

  • Key Concepts:
TCB interpolation is a feature of SAP Visual Enterprise (CA-VE) that allows users to create smooth transitions between two different camera positions. This is done by calculating the intermediate frames between the two positions and interpolating them to create a smooth transition.

    How to use it:
To use TCB interpolation, users must first define two camera positions in the scene. Then, they can select the TCB interpolation option from the menu and specify the number of frames they want to interpolate between the two positions. The software will then calculate the intermediate frames and create a smooth transition between the two positions.

    Tips & Tricks:
When using TCB interpolation, it is important to keep in mind that the more frames you specify, the smoother the transition will be. However, too many frames can lead to a longer rendering time, so it is important to find a balance between smoothness and speed.

    Related Information:
TCB interpolation is just one of many features available in SAP Visual Enterprise. Other features include 3D object manipulation, real-time rendering, and more. For more information about SAP Visual Enterprise, please visit their website at www.sap.com/visualenterprise.
