  Derivative type is a feature of SAP Visual Enterprise (CA-VE) that allows users to create a new object based on an existing object. This feature allows users to quickly create new objects without having to start from scratch. The derivative type feature also allows users to make changes to the existing object and save them as a new object. 
  
  How to use it: 
  To use the derivative type feature, users must first select an existing object in SAP Visual Enterprise. Once the object is selected, users can then click on the “Derivative Type” button in the toolbar. This will open a dialog box where users can enter a name for the new object and select the desired properties for the new object. Once all of the desired properties are selected, users can click “OK” to create the new object. 
  
  Tips & Tricks: 
  When creating a new object using the derivative type feature, it is important to remember that any changes made to the existing object will be applied to the new object as well. Therefore, it is important to make sure that all desired changes are made before creating the new object.
