Component: CA-MRS
Component Name: SAP Multiresource Scheduling
Description: A relationship between PM/CS order operations or PS network activities that is defined by the user either during the creation of a PM/CS order a PS network in SAP ERP or in the planning board.
Key Concepts: Explicit relationships are a feature of SAP Multiresource Scheduling (CA-MRS) that allow users to define the relationship between two activities. This relationship can be used to control the scheduling of activities, such as when one activity must be completed before another can begin. How to use it: Explicit relationships can be set up in the CA-MRS system by selecting two activities and then defining the relationship between them. The relationship can be set up as either a “start-to-start”, “finish-to-start”, “start-to-finish”, or “finish-to-finish” relationship. Once the relationship is defined, the system will automatically adjust the scheduling of the activities based on the relationship. Tips & Tricks: When setting up explicit relationships, it is important to consider how they will affect the scheduling of activities. For example, if two activities have a “start-to-start” relationship, then they must both start at the same time in order for the relationship to be valid. Related Information: Explicit relationships are just one of many features available in SAP Multiresource Scheduling (CA-MRS). Other features include resource optimization, resource leveling, and resource availability. For more information on these features and how to use them, please refer to the SAP Multiresource Scheduling documentation.
