SAP Term: document versioning

Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Document versioning is a feature of the SAP Document Builder (CA-GTF-DOB) component that allows users to create multiple versions of a document. This feature allows users to keep track of changes made to a document over time, and to easily revert back to an earlier version if needed.

    How to use it:
To use document versioning, users must first create a document in the SAP Document Builder. Once the document is created, users can save multiple versions of the document by clicking the “Save Version” button. This will create a new version of the document with a unique version number. Users can then make changes to the document and save additional versions as needed.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating multiple versions of a document, it is important to give each version a meaningful name or description so that it is easy to identify later on. This will help users quickly find the version they need when reverting back to an earlier version.
