SAP Term: default recipient

Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Default recipient is a feature of the SAP Application Interface Framework (CA-GTF-AIF) that allows users to specify a default recipient for messages sent via the framework. This recipient can be an individual user, a group of users, or an external system. The default recipient will receive all messages sent via the framework, regardless of who the sender is.

    How to use it:
To set up a default recipient, go to the Application Interface Framework (CA-GTF-AIF) in the SAP system. Select the “Default Recipient” option from the menu. Enter the name of the user, group, or external system that should be set as the default recipient. Once saved, all messages sent via the framework will be sent to this recipient.

    Tips & Tricks:
It is important to note that setting a default recipient does not override any other recipients specified in individual messages. If a message is sent with specific recipients listed, those recipients will still receive the message in addition to the default recipient.
