SAP Term: target unit of measure

Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Target unit of measure is a feature of the CA-EPT-BCV Business Context Viewer in SAP. It allows users to define a target unit of measure for a particular business context. This target unit of measure is then used to convert all other units of measure into the target unit of measure. This allows for easier comparison and analysis of data across different units of measure.

    How to use it:
To use the target unit of measure feature, users must first define the target unit of measure for a particular business context. This can be done by selecting the desired unit of measure from the drop-down menu in the Business Context Viewer. Once the target unit of measure has been defined, all other units of measure will be automatically converted into the target unit of measure.

    Tips & Tricks:
When defining a target unit of measure, it is important to consider which unit of measure will be most useful for comparison and analysis purposes. For example, if you are comparing sales figures across different countries, it may be more useful to use a currency as your target unit of measure rather than a metric such as kilograms or liters.
