    Document type is a classification of documents in the SAP Document Management System (DMS). It is used to group documents according to their purpose, content, or other criteria. Document types are used to control access rights, define document attributes, and determine the workflow for document processing. 
    
    How to use it: 
    Document types are created and maintained in the DMS Customizing menu. When creating a document type, you can specify the document attributes, access rights, and workflow that will be associated with it. Once a document type is created, documents can be assigned to it in the DMS.
