priority - Overview

priority - Details

  • Key Concepts: Priority is a feature in the Commercial Project Management (CPM) component of SAP that allows users to assign a numerical value to tasks and projects. This numerical value is used to determine the order in which tasks and projects are completed. The higher the priority, the sooner the task or project will be completed.
How to use it: Priority can be set for both tasks and projects in CPM. To set priority for a task, go to the Task List view in CPM and select the task you want to set priority for. Then, click on the “Set Priority” button and enter a numerical value from 1-10. To set priority for a project, go to the Project List view in CPM and select the project you want to set priority for. Then, click on the “Set Priority” button and enter a numerical value from 1-10.
Tips & Tricks: When setting priority for tasks or projects, it is important to consider how important each task or project is relative to other tasks or projects. For example, if you have two tasks that are both equally important but one needs to be completed sooner than the other, you should assign a higher priority to the task that needs to be completed sooner.
