  • Key Concepts:
Selection conditions are used in the Available-to-Promise (ATP) component of SAP to determine which materials are available for a customer order. Selection conditions are used to filter out materials that are not available for a particular order, such as those that are out of stock or have a long lead time. Selection conditions can also be used to prioritize certain materials over others, such as those with shorter lead times or higher availability.

    How to use it:
Selection conditions can be set up in the ATP component of SAP. The selection condition is set up by specifying the criteria that must be met for a material to be available for an order. This criteria can include availability, lead time, and other factors. Once the selection condition is set up, it will be applied to all customer orders and will determine which materials are available for each order.

    Tips & Tricks:
When setting up selection conditions in SAP, it is important to consider the customer’s needs and preferences. For example, if a customer prefers shorter lead times, then the selection condition should prioritize materials with shorter lead times over those with longer lead times. Additionally, it is important to consider the availability of materials when setting up selection conditions; if a material is out of stock or has a long lead time, then it should not be included in the selection condition.
