Component: CA-ATP
Component Name: Available-to-Promise (ATP)
Description: A group of requirements that have been determined using a filter. A requirement group is assigned to a confirmation strategy which reflects the priority of its requirements. For the confirmation strategies "Gain", "Redistribute", and "Fill", you must prioritize the requirements of a requirement group using a prioritizer or to determine a fair share within the group. If a requirement is included by multiple requirement groups, it will only be processed in the requirement group with the highest priority of the BOP variant and ignored afterwards.
Key Concepts: A requirement group is a collection of requirements that are related to each other and can be managed together. In SAP, a requirement group is used in the Available-to-Promise (ATP) component to manage the availability of materials and services. How to use it: In the ATP component, a requirement group is used to group together different requirements for a material or service. This allows the system to check the availability of all the requirements in the group at once, rather than having to check each requirement individually. The system will then provide an overall availability status for the entire group. Tips & Tricks: When creating a requirement group, it is important to ensure that all of the requirements are related to each other and can be managed together. This will ensure that the system can accurately check the availability of all of the requirements in the group.
