  • Key Concepts:
Manage Product Allocation Sequences is a component of the Available-to-Promise (ATP) module in SAP. It allows users to define and manage product allocation sequences, which are used to determine the order in which products are allocated to customers. The sequences can be based on various criteria, such as customer priority, product availability, and delivery date.

    How to use it:
To use Manage Product Allocation Sequences, users must first define the criteria for the sequence. This can be done by creating a sequence profile, which contains the criteria for the sequence. Once the profile is created, users can assign it to a product or product group. When a customer orders a product or product group with an assigned sequence profile, the system will use the criteria in the profile to determine the order in which products are allocated to customers.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating a sequence profile, it is important to consider all possible scenarios that could affect product allocation. For example, if a customer has a higher priority than another customer, but their order is placed after the other customer’s order, then the system should allocate products to the higher priority customer first.

    Related Information:
Manage Product Allocation Sequences is part of SAP’s Available-to-Promise (ATP) module. Other components of this module include Manage ATP Rules and Manage ATP Profiles. These components allow users to define rules and profiles for determining product availability and delivery dates.
