What is favorites in SAP BW - SAP Business Information Warehouse?

  • Component Name: SAP Business Information Warehouse

  • Description: Channel for workbooks with which users frequently work. You can copy workbooks, with which you frequently work, from the channels into your favorites. You manage your favorites yourself, and can individually name or group their content. You can save modified or new workbooks in your favorites.

  • Key Concepts: 
    Favorites in SAP Business Information Warehouse (BW) are a way to save and organize queries for easy access. They are stored in the BW repository and can be used to quickly access frequently used queries. 
    
    How to use it: 
    To create a favorite, open the query in the BW repository and select “Create Favorite” from the menu. Enter a name for the favorite and click “Save”. To access the favorite, open the BW repository and select “Favorites” from the menu. Select the desired favorite from the list and click “Open”. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    Favorites can be organized into folders for easy navigation. To create a folder, select “Create Folder” from the menu and enter a name for the folder. To move a favorite into a folder, select “Move to Folder” from the menu and select the desired folder from the list.
