Component: BW-BEX
Component Name: Business Explorer
Description: A deviation from a defined threshold value. Exceptions are defined in the Query Designer and can be evaluated either online in BEx Web Applications, BEx Mobile Applications, or in the BEx Analyzer, or in the background, using the Reporting Agent. Exceptions are defined by setting the threshold values or intervals, which are given a priority bad, critical, good, and by determining the areas of the query for which the exception is valid. In the evaluation, the areas of the query lying above or below the threshold are marked in different colors. Up to nine shades of the red, yellow, and green traffic light colors are used here.
Key Concepts: Exception is a feature in BW-BEX Business Explorer that allows users to identify and analyze data that does not meet certain criteria. It is used to identify and analyze data that is outside of the normal range or does not meet certain conditions. This helps users to identify potential problems or areas of improvement in their data. How to use it: To use the exception feature, users must first define the criteria for the exception. This can be done by setting up a condition in the query designer. Once the condition is set, users can then run the query and view the results. The results will show any data that does not meet the criteria set in the query. Tips & Tricks: When setting up an exception, it is important to make sure that the criteria is set correctly. This will ensure that only relevant data is identified and analyzed. Additionally, it is important to remember that exceptions can be used in combination with other features such as filters and sorting to further refine the results.
