  At query runtime, the evaluation time is when the query is executed and the data is retrieved from the database. At report runtime, the evaluation time is when the report is generated and the data is retrieved from the database. The evaluation time can be set in Crystal Reports by selecting either “Query Runtime” or “Report Runtime” in the “Evaluation Time” drop-down menu.
