Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Securely Modify Rights (SMR) is a feature of SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise (BI-BIP-BOE) that allows users to modify the security settings of their documents and folders. This feature allows users to control who can access their documents and folders, as well as what type of access they have.

    How to use it:
To use SMR, users must first log into their SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise account. Once logged in, they can navigate to the Security tab and select the “Securely Modify Rights” option. From there, they can select the document or folder they wish to modify and set the appropriate security settings.

    Tips & Tricks:
When setting security settings with SMR, it is important to remember that the most restrictive setting will always take precedence. For example, if a user sets a document to be viewable by everyone but also sets a specific user to have edit rights, then only the specific user will be able to edit the document.

    Related Information:
For more information on using SMR, users can refer to the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise documentation or contact their system administrator. Additionally, users can also refer to other resources such as online tutorials or forums for help with using SMR.
