    A resource in SAP BusinessObjects Information Design Tool (IDT) is a file that contains data that can be used to create a universe. Resources can be either physical or logical. Physical resources are files that are stored on the server, such as Excel spreadsheets, text files, and Access databases. Logical resources are objects that are created in IDT, such as joins, classes, and objects. 
    
    How to use it: 
    To use a resource in IDT, you must first create a connection to the resource. This can be done by selecting the “Connections” tab in the IDT interface and then selecting the type of connection you want to create. Once the connection is established, you can then select the resource from the list of available resources and begin creating your universe. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    When creating a connection to a resource, it is important to make sure that the connection is secure and that all necessary permissions have been granted. Additionally, it is important to ensure that the resource is properly formatted so that it can be used in IDT.
