  • Key Concepts:
A catalog is a collection of objects in SAP BusinessObjects Information Design Tool (IDT) that can be used to organize and manage the objects in a project. It is a hierarchical structure that contains folders and objects such as universes, reports, and dashboards. The catalog is the main repository for all the objects in a project.

    How to use it:
To create a catalog, open the IDT and select File > New > Catalog. Enter a name for the catalog and click OK. The catalog will appear in the left pane of the IDT window. To add objects to the catalog, right-click on the catalog and select Add Object. Select the type of object you want to add and click OK. The object will be added to the catalog.

    Tips & Tricks:
It is important to keep your catalog organized by creating folders for different types of objects. This will make it easier to find objects when you need them. You can also create subfolders within folders to further organize your objects.
