Description: Punctuation characters that can be included in values submitted to SpeakAs functions. In some cases, they are used to indicate a deliberate break in cadence as the data is being spoken. In other cases, they are silently ignored. See the documentation for each SpeakAs type to see how they are handled for that specific type. The default set of characters considered legal delimiters is : ; /-_[]{},.. The list of acceptable characters can be altered in any particular deployment, however. Delimiters are processed according to the following rules: 1. Any number of consecutive delimiters will be treated as a single delimiter. 2. Any delimiters that occur at the beginning or end of the string are ignored. 3. Delimiters are used to indicate boundaries between groups of characters. In some SpeakAs types, that will trigger a change of int onation at that point. Others will simply ignore the delimiter. In both cases, the delimiter itself will not be spoken.
Key Concepts: Standard delimiters are special characters used to separate data elements in a text string. In SAP NetWeaver Voice, standard delimiters are used to separate the different parts of a voice message, such as the sender's name, the recipient's name, and the message body. How to use it: Standard delimiters are used in SAP NetWeaver Voice to separate the different parts of a voice message. When creating a voice message, the sender must specify which delimiter will be used to separate the different parts of the message. The delimiter must be specified in the message header. Tips & Tricks: When creating a voice message, it is important to ensure that the delimiter specified in the message header is consistent with the delimiter used in the body of the message. This will ensure that all parts of the message are properly separated and can be read correctly by SAP NetWeaver Voice.
