Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Run-as identity is a feature of SAP BC-SEC Security that allows users to execute certain tasks as another user. This is useful when a user needs to access resources or perform tasks that require a different set of permissions than the user currently has.

    How to use it:
To use run-as identity, the user must first be granted the necessary permissions by an administrator. Once the permissions are granted, the user can then select the “Run as” option from the menu and enter the username of the user they wish to run as. The user will then be able to access resources and perform tasks as if they were that other user.

    Tips & Tricks:
When using run-as identity, it is important to remember that any changes made while running as another user will be attributed to that user. Therefore, it is important to ensure that the correct user is selected before running any tasks.
