  • Key Concepts:
Read Access Logging (RAL) is a component of the SAP BC-SEC Security module. It is used to log and monitor user access to sensitive data in an SAP system. RAL records the user ID, date and time of access, and the data accessed. It also provides an audit trail of user activity.

    How to use it:
RAL can be enabled in the SAP system by setting up a log profile in the Security Audit Logging (SAL) configuration. Once enabled, RAL will log all user access to sensitive data in the system. The log can then be used to monitor user activity and detect any unauthorized access.

    Tips & Tricks:
It is important to regularly review the RAL log to ensure that only authorized users are accessing sensitive data. Additionally, it is recommended to set up a notification system so that any unauthorized access can be detected and addressed quickly.
