  • Key Concepts:
A portal role is a type of authorization object in SAP that defines the access rights of a user in the SAP Enterprise Portal. It is part of the BC-SEC Security component and is used to control which functions and data a user can access.

    How to use it:
Portal roles are assigned to users in the SAP Enterprise Portal. To assign a portal role, go to the User Administration tab in the SAP Enterprise Portal and select the user you want to assign the role to. Then, select the “Roles” tab and select the portal role you want to assign.

    Tips & Tricks:
When assigning portal roles, it is important to remember that each user should only have access to the functions and data they need for their job. This will help ensure that your system remains secure and that users are not able to access sensitive information they should not have access to.
