  • Key Concepts:
Anonymous logon is a feature of the BC-SEC Security component of SAP software. It allows users to access certain parts of the system without having to provide a username and password. This is useful for applications that require access to sensitive data, but do not require authentication.

    How to use it:
Anonymous logon can be enabled in the SAP system by setting the parameter “login/allow_anonymous_login” to “1”. This will allow users to access certain parts of the system without having to provide a username and password. The user will be given a unique ID that can be used to track their activity in the system.

    Tips & Tricks:
When using anonymous logon, it is important to ensure that only authorized users are able to access sensitive data. This can be done by setting up access control lists (ACLs) that restrict access to certain areas of the system. Additionally, it is important to monitor user activity in order to detect any suspicious behavior.

    Related Information:
Anonymous logon is similar to single sign-on (SSO), which allows users to access multiple applications with a single set of credentials. However, SSO requires authentication, whereas anonymous logon does not. Additionally, anonymous logon is often used in conjunction with other security measures such as two-factor authentication and encryption.
