  • Description: User type for general, non-person-related users that allows the assignment of additional, identical authorizations, or the inheritance of a contractual user type. You cannot log on to the system with a reference user.

    A reference user is a user in the SAP system that is used as a template for creating new users. It contains all the necessary settings and authorizations for a user to be able to access the system. 
    
    How to use it: 
    To create a new user, you must first create a reference user. This can be done by going to the User Administration component in the SAP system and selecting “Create Reference User”. You will then be prompted to enter the necessary information such as name, password, and authorizations. Once you have completed this step, you can then use the reference user as a template for creating new users.

    When creating a reference user, it is important to make sure that all of the necessary settings and authorizations are included. This will ensure that any new users created from the reference user will have all of the necessary access rights.
