  • Description: The position of a segment in a tree structure. The hierarchy levels are defined as follows algorithms from UN/EDIFACT: Segments that have no superordinate segments are assigned to hierarchy level 1 if they cannot be repeated or 2 if they can be repeated, or introduce a segment group. Segments that have a superordinate segment are assigned to the hierarchy level one level above the superordinate segment. The highest hierarchy level for a segment is 99.
