Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts: User Principal Name (UPN) is a unique identifier used in SAP systems to identify a user. It is composed of two parts: the user's name and the domain name. For example, a UPN for a user named John Smith in the domain example.com would be john.smith@example.com.
How to use it: UPNs are used to authenticate users in SAP systems. When a user logs into an SAP system, they must provide their UPN and password to gain access. UPNs can also be used to assign roles and authorizations to users, as well as to control access to certain areas of the system.
Tips & Tricks: When creating a new UPN for a user, make sure that it is unique and not already in use by another user. Also, make sure that the UPN follows the correct format (e.g., john.smith@example.com).
Related Information: For more information on UPNs and how they are used in SAP systems, please refer to the SAP Help documentation on BC-JAS-SEC Security, User Management.
