Component: BC-JAS-SEC
Component Name: Security, User Management
Description: An approach allowing users to authenticate by presenting two authentication factors: a knowledge factor something that the user knows, such as username and password and a possession factor something only the user has, such as a mobile device that generates a passcode.
Key Concepts: Two-factor authentication is a security measure used to protect user accounts from unauthorized access. It requires two different forms of authentication, such as a password and a one-time code sent to the user's mobile device, in order to log in. This makes it much harder for hackers to gain access to an account, as they would need both pieces of information. How to use it: Two-factor authentication can be enabled in the SAP system by going to the BC-JAS-SEC Security, User Management component. Once enabled, users will be required to enter both their password and a one-time code sent to their mobile device in order to log in. Tips & Tricks: It is important to keep your passwords secure and not share them with anyone. Additionally, it is recommended that you enable two-factor authentication on all of your accounts for added security.
