  • Key Concepts:
ILM (Information Lifecycle Management) rule is a feature of SAP BC-ILM (Business Component Information Lifecycle Management) that allows users to define rules for managing the lifecycle of data. It enables users to define rules for archiving, deleting, and moving data from one system to another. The rules can be based on time, size, or other criteria.

    How to use it:
To use ILM rule, users must first define the criteria for the rule. This includes the type of data to be managed, the time period for archiving or deleting data, and any other criteria that should be taken into account. Once the criteria have been defined, users can then create an ILM rule that will be applied to the data. The rule will then be executed according to the criteria specified.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating an ILM rule, it is important to consider how often the rule should be executed. If the rule is executed too often, it may cause performance issues. It is also important to consider how long data should be kept before it is archived or deleted.
