  • Key Concepts:
IDM Role Detail is a component of SAP's Identity Management (BC-IAM-IDM) module. It is used to define roles and their associated permissions within an organization. It allows administrators to assign roles to users, and to manage the access rights of those users.

    How to use it:
To use IDM Role Detail, administrators must first create roles and assign them to users. This can be done by selecting the “Create Role” option in the IDM Role Detail menu. Once the role has been created, administrators can then assign permissions to the role by selecting the “Assign Permissions” option in the same menu.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating roles, it is important to ensure that they are specific enough to meet the needs of the organization. For example, if a role is too broad, it may grant too much access to users who should not have it. Additionally, it is important to regularly review and update roles as needed in order to ensure that users have the correct access rights.
