What is TABCAT 2 in SAP BC-I18-UNI - I18N Unicode?

  • Description: During the Unicode Preconversion Phase, all database tables are divided into three table categories according to whether they: contain a language field type LANG or SPRAS and the Text Language Flag or they do not contain a language field type LANG or SPRAS and the Text Language Flag or they are not code page-dependent at all. Category 2 TABCAT 2 = Code page dependent without Language Field The table has no language field. Code page information has to be derived before conversion to Unicode. Per default, Category 2 tables are multiple code page-dependent.
