Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Completion category is a feature of the BC-I18-UNI I18N Unicode Conversion component of SAP. It is used to define the type of conversion that should be performed when converting data from one character set to another. The completion category can be set to either “complete” or “partial”. When set to “complete”, all characters in the source character set are converted to their corresponding characters in the target character set. When set to “partial”, only characters that are supported by the target character set are converted.

    How to use it:
To use the completion category feature, you must first select the source and target character sets for the conversion. Then, you can select either “complete” or “partial” as the completion category. If you select “complete”, all characters in the source character set will be converted to their corresponding characters in the target character set. If you select “partial”, only characters that are supported by the target character set will be converted.

    Tips & Tricks:
When selecting a completion category, it is important to consider the type of data that is being converted. If you are converting text data, it is usually best to select “complete” as the completion category. This will ensure that all characters in the source character set are converted to their corresponding characters in the target character set. However, if you are converting binary data, it is usually best to select “partial” as the completion category. This will ensure that only characters that are supported by the target character set are converted.
