  • Description: Control element in the graphical user interface GUI. The scroll bar is generated automatically when a screen or screen element is too large for the area in the window. Scroll bars offer a range of scrolling options, including both absolute and relative scrolling, forwards and backwards. They extend along the length of an object to be scrolled, either vertically to the right of the object, or horizontally directly under the object. You operate the scroll bar with the mouse.
