An integration-relevant step for outbound processes could be, for example, determining whether a change to a data record is at all relevant for the subsequent processes in an external process component. Central software objects are process agents. These are implemented in the backend systems involved in the business process and they form the link between XML messages that are incoming or outgoing at runtime and the business object changes connected thereto.
