  • Key Concepts:
A logical port is a component of the SAP Enterprise Service Infrastructure (BC-ESI) that provides a secure connection between two systems. It is used to send and receive messages between two systems, and it is also used to authenticate the sender and receiver. Logical ports are used to ensure that only authorized users can access the system.

    How to use it:
Logical ports are used to establish secure connections between two systems. To use a logical port, you must first create a logical port in the SAP system. Once the port is created, you can configure it with the necessary settings such as authentication, encryption, and message routing. After the port is configured, you can then use it to send and receive messages between two systems.

    Tips & Tricks:
When configuring a logical port, make sure to use strong authentication methods such as digital certificates or user name/password combinations. Additionally, make sure to use strong encryption algorithms such as AES or RSA for data security. Finally, make sure to configure the message routing correctly so that messages are sent to the correct destination.
