Key Concepts: Reference type is a feature of SAP Information Quality Management (IQM) that allows users to define and manage reference data. Reference data is a set of values that are used to classify and categorize data in an organization. Reference types are used to define the structure of the reference data, such as the type of data, the length of the data, and the format of the data. How to use it: Reference types can be created in SAP IQM by navigating to the “Reference Types” tab in the IQM application. From there, users can create a new reference type by entering a name and description for the type, as well as defining the structure of the reference data. Once created, users can then add values to the reference type by entering them into the “Values” tab. Tips & Tricks: When creating a reference type, it is important to ensure that all of the values entered into the “Values” tab are valid for that particular reference type. This will ensure that all of the data entered into SAP IQM is properly classified and categorized.
