  • Description: Package whose visible repository objects can be used in other packages. All visible objects of a provider package can be used by all potentially possible packages. Usually, these include direct neighboring packages: Its direct superpackage, its sibling packages, and its subpackages. The latter only takes effect if internal visibility is also declared for the package interface of the provider package. Then the interface contents of the package in question become visible for its direct subpackages, and can be used by them. However, this latter usage is for exceptional cases only. A provider package can control and restrict the usability of its visible repository objects in several ways: Firstly, the package itself can control the usability with its encapsulation level or with the selection of an explicit standard interface.
