  • Key Concepts:
External breakpoints are a debugging tool used in the SAP Workbench Tools. They allow users to set a breakpoint in the code outside of the debugger, which can be used to pause the program execution and investigate the current state of the program. This is useful for debugging complex programs or for debugging programs that are running on remote systems.

    How to use it:
To set an external breakpoint, open the program in the SAP Workbench Tools and select the “Set Breakpoint” option from the menu. Enter the line number of the code where you want to set the breakpoint and click “OK”. The breakpoint will be set and will be visible in the source code. When you run the program, it will pause at that line and you can investigate the current state of the program.

    Tips & Tricks:
When setting an external breakpoint, make sure that you enter a valid line number. If you enter an invalid line number, the breakpoint will not be set and your program will not pause at that line. Additionally, make sure that you have enabled debugging in your system settings before setting an external breakpoint.
