  • Key Concepts: Maintenance status is a feature of the ABAP Dictionary in SAP that allows users to control the availability of objects in the system. It is used to indicate whether an object is available for use or not. The maintenance status can be set to either “active” or “inactive”. When an object is set to “active”, it can be used in the system. When an object is set to “inactive”, it cannot be used in the system.
    How to use it: To change the maintenance status of an object, go to the ABAP Dictionary in SAP and select the object you want to change. Then, select the “Maintenance Status” tab and choose either “Active” or “Inactive”. Once you have made your selection, click “Save” to save your changes.
    Tips & Tricks: It is important to remember that when an object is set to “inactive”, it cannot be used in the system. Therefore, it is important to make sure that all objects are set to “active” before they are used in the system.
