  • Key Concepts:
CDS access policy is a feature of the ABAP Dictionary in SAP that allows users to control access to CDS views. It enables users to define who can access a CDS view and what type of access they have. The access policy can be set up for individual CDS views or for a group of CDS views.

    How to use it:
To set up a CDS access policy, first create the CDS view in the ABAP Dictionary. Then, go to the “Access Policy” tab and select “Create Access Policy”. This will open a dialog box where you can define the access rights for the CDS view. You can specify which users or roles have access to the view and what type of access they have (read, write, etc.). Once you have saved the access policy, it will be applied to the CDS view.

    Tips & Tricks:
When setting up an access policy for a CDS view, it is important to consider who needs access to the view and what type of access they need. For example, if you are creating a CDS view that will be used by multiple users, you may want to give them all read-only access. This will ensure that no one can make changes to the view without your permission.
