  • Key Concepts:
A composite number is a unique identifier used in SAP to identify documents. It is composed of two parts: the document type and the document number. The document type is a three-digit code that identifies the type of document, such as an invoice or a purchase order. The document number is a unique number assigned to each document.

    How to use it:
In SAP, the composite number is used to identify documents in the BC-DOC-DTL Documentation Tools component. To find a document, you can enter the composite number into the search field. This will bring up the relevant document in the system.

    Tips & Tricks:
When entering a composite number into the search field, make sure to include both the document type and the document number. If either one is missing, you may not be able to find the correct document.

    Related Information:
The composite number is just one of many identifiers used in SAP. Other identifiers include material numbers, customer numbers, and vendor numbers. All of these identifiers are used to help identify documents and other objects in SAP.
