• Description: A tool for checking the consistency of client-specific customizing changes. In a standard SAP system infrastructure, changes made in the development system are transported to the quality assurance system and then to the production system. To check the consistency of changes in the quality assurance system before transporting them to the production system, you first transfer them to an intermediate import client. You then start the Customizing Transfer Assistant in the quality testing client, and log on to the import client using Remote Function Call. Typically, you use the Customizing Transfer Assistant with other cross-system tools, such as the Customizing Cross-System Viewer.

  When using CTA, it is important to ensure that all of the necessary customizing settings are included in the transport request. If any settings are missing, they will not be transferred and could cause issues in the target system. Additionally, it is important to ensure that both systems are running the same version of SAP before attempting to transfer customizing settings.
