Description: Configuration unit of the Change Management Service in which software components are managed.
Key Concepts: The term “track” in the context of the SAP BC-CTS Change & Transport System (CTS) refers to a collection of objects that are related to each other and can be transported together. A track is created when a developer adds objects to the CTS and assigns them to a track. The track is then used to transport the objects from one system to another. How to use it: To create a track, open the CTS and select the “Create Track” option. Enter a name for the track and select the objects that you want to add to it. Once you have added all of the objects, click “Save” to create the track. To transport the objects in the track, select the “Transport Track” option and enter the target system. The objects will then be transported to the target system. Tips & Tricks: When creating a track, it is important to make sure that all of the objects in the track are compatible with each other. If there are any conflicts between objects, they will not be able to be transported together. Additionally, it is important to make sure that all of the objects in the track are up-to-date before transporting them.
