special transport - Details

  • Key Concepts: Special transport is a feature of the SAP Change and Transport System (CTS) that allows users to transport objects between different SAP systems. It is used to move objects from a development system to a quality assurance system, or from a quality assurance system to a production system. Special transports are used when the objects cannot be transported using the standard CTS process.
How to use it: To use special transport, users must first create a transport request in the source system. This request contains all of the objects that need to be transported. The request is then exported from the source system and imported into the target system. Once imported, the objects can be activated in the target system.
Tips & Tricks: When using special transport, it is important to ensure that all of the objects in the request are compatible with the target system. If any of the objects are not compatible, they will not be transported and must be manually moved to the target system.
