    A source system is a system that provides the data for a target system. In the context of SAP's BC-CTS Change & Transport System, a source system is the system from which changes are transported to a target system. This could be a development, quality assurance, or production system.

    In order to transport changes from one system to another, the source system must be specified in the CTS configuration. This is done by entering the name of the source system in the CTS configuration. Once this is done, changes can be transported from the source system to the target system.
