  • Key Concepts:
A release in the SAP BC-CTS Change & Transport System (CTS) is a collection of objects that are transported together. It is a logical unit of transport that can contain any number of objects, such as programs, tables, and function modules. A release can also contain other releases, allowing for the creation of complex transport structures.

    How to use it:
In order to create a release, the user must first define the transport layer in which the release will be created. This is done by selecting the “Create Release” option from the CTS menu. The user then enters a name for the release and selects the objects to be included in it. Once all of the objects have been selected, the user can save the release and assign it to a transport layer.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating a release, it is important to ensure that all of the objects included in it are compatible with each other. This will help to ensure that the transport process runs smoothly and without any errors. Additionally, it is important to keep track of all releases created in order to ensure that they are properly managed and tracked.
